From March 13 to 16, the 41st Annual Congress of the European Association of Urology (EAU2026), one of the most influential global events in the field of urology, was successfully held at ExCeL London. In the scientific program, Professor Sun Ke from the Chinese PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital), on behalf of Professor Mai Haixing’s team, presented a significant study titled:
“Macrolux 7.5F Single-Use Torque-Assisted Digital Ureteroscope in Treating 2–4 cm Lower Pole Renal Stones: A Prospective Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial.”
This study evaluated the clinical value of the 7.5F single-use digital flexible ureteroscope combined with the FANS suction access sheath in the treatment of 2–4 cm lower pole renal stones. With a prospective, multicenter randomized controlled design, the research provided high-level evidence addressing a complex clinical challenge.
The presentation generated active discussion among attendees, with experts recognizing both the robustness of the study design and its clinical significance. The review panel agreed that the findings offer new insights into minimally invasive management of large lower pole stones and highlight the contributions of Chinese urological teams in advancing single-use endoscopy technology.
